Aishwarya Rai Cannes 2012 appearance removes doubt about her weight

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Cannes 2012 appearance has finally removed all doubts being spread about her weight problems.

There were rumors that Aishwarya Rai has put on so much weight and that she is no more the ‘most beautiful woman on earth’. But her appearance at Cannes has doused such rumors with very cold water. She looked refreshing, cool and elegant in the best attire she has worn in a very long time.

To be true, her dresses are getting complements from everyone at Cannes and her detractors are eating their words that her career as an actress was all but over. With such great shape, she can still stay at top in Bollywood, more so when there is no great competition from other actresses in the Hindi film industry.

Aishwarya rai Bachchan delivered a daughter, the 9th member of Bachchan family who was temporarily known as Beti B, earlier this year. Ever since, there have been constant rumors suggesting that Aishwarya had put on lots of weight. There was even a video uploaded on Youtube that showed the leading Bollywood lady looking so out of place that it was difficult to believe it was really she.

She has been visiting Cannes for years but this year many said she would not visit as she had put on so much weight after the daughter’s birth. But the Cannes veteran made her appearance in elegant clothes that gave her a great look. She wore clothes specially prepared for the occasion by none other than Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Though Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has turned 38, she still doesn’t look older than 30.

Meanwhile she recently received accolades from unexpected quarters. British model Scarlett Mellish Wilson heaped praise on the Indian actress and said, “I love her (Aishwarya Rai), she defines Bollywood for me. She is the definition of Bollywood. Her acting, her beauty, she is such an amazing dancer. I think she is the ultimate, I love her”. So for the time being Aishwarya Rai seems to have beaten all the rumormongers by her mere appearance at the Cannes.

    Person who has written this article stating that Ash does not look older than 30, i think he/she needs to get her/his eyes tested. check her necklines. Im sorry to say she looks well over 40 with so many wrinkles around her neck and puffiness on her face that even her make up artist couldnt hide it. It will not be long before she will start looking like a mother to abhishek. Compliment goes to her designers for designing some beautiful outfit which I wished it was worn by more slimmer and younger person to make it more outstanding. Im sorry to say that I think Ash’s career is over. I think the bollywood should pay more attention to those new and fresh faces and please lets face the reality that ash is not the most beautiful woman in the world, atleast not anymore.

    She looks old and fat and over the top….can’t one see plainly her weight oogling from the sides…..the truth is she is over in her career….she must realise this and give the space to new comers….SHE is an OLD hag now….fat and oversized but still wishing to hog the limelight….even her face looks puffed up with all the makeup and clever flowing gowns hide her buldge….ridiculous….

    HE/She ,,,who ever…plz tell us,,Is ash on top of BW or was on top ,,when,,where,,,where were we wen this happened ,,if this ever happened ,,it was only in way long bak in 1998-99 wen HDDCS was a hit..her all previous releases were bombed at BO,,b it ravann or guzarish..i have no problem with her weight issues,,and im glad she is now concentrating on family more bc she is genius enough to realise that her BW career is over now now but yrssss bak even before her marriage,,only writers like this try to befool actors like ash to get God knows wat benefits….

    Very well written article… Kudos to Ash… Its funny how some people have still passed rude comments here even after reading the article… Maybe they are inhuman, illiterate and immature enough to not understand early motherhood… Shame on their thoughts on motherhood and post-pregancy weight… Sad to know how some of our countrymen disgrace our own fellow citizens in front of the whole world with their narrow-mindedness and cheapness… Grow up people…

Her beautifel skin, mesmerising grey, green aquamarine eyes, her bewitching smile and elegance, grace and beauty. She has given fantastic performances in jodha akbar, raincoat, guzarrish, choker bali, devdas, provoked, ravan, hum dil de chuke sanam, kakee. sarkar raj, etc. She does alot for charity and has even donated her eyes when she goes. She is classy, elegant, refined lady who has a good heart. She has just given birth. Sp what if she is slim or has put on weight. She has always flucuated. No one can take her beauty, talent and dancing away from her. And for all those negative ugly comments. GROW UP. CONSTRUCTIVE CRITCISM IS GOOD. BUT CHAEP AND VULGAR COMMENTS ARE STUPID.     Here is a woman who just had a baby and decided not to starve or exercise herself to a size 0 and for that she is being condemned. Are entertainers not alllowed to gain weight or age?

    What a world we live in when the young people hide behind their computer monitors to put people down. How disrespectful! Where are you manners? Were you brought up or dragged up by your parents? These derogatory comments does not change the fact that she is a beautiful and talented entertainer but it does reveal our society’s scums.

Anyone who has eyes and good judgement can plainly see that she has put on alot of weight and looks far too different from the aishwarya we all used to know. I don’t think it’s a shameful thing to have baby weight or look your age, the only problem here is this article, which just makes you wonder ” was the author thinking clearly?”. Anyway, best of luck to aishwarya , i hope she goes back to being her old self soon.

    im sorry to say that i definatly dont agree with this article, the person writing it must either be a fan or scared of the Bachans. im sorry im not a weight person, but as a celebrity your consatntly in the public eye, and if i had tons and tons of money and know that people will comment i would try to get back in shape. im not saying stick skinny beacuse she never was but at least to what she looked like before she got pregnant. Especially if i knew that in 6 months time i was attending one of the most Prestigious fuctions like Cannes, and i am the Ambassodor!I know many people who have had xhildren and just naturally or just doing simple excersice at home they lost all there baby weight within 3 months. And they managed to spend time with there babies. These rich people have nanies servants stylists you name it!so how hard is it for her. Im sorry i dont agree with the fact that she looks good she just looks standard, and thats a shame for her as she should be looking exceptionally good!!!!!

    Whilst I do not consider her an amazing actress, she did perform amazingly in Bollywood films such as Devdas and HDDCS

    HOWEVER frankly I’m appalled at the shocking comments on this site which are so typically mysogonistic and shallow and superficial

    She has been the face of India for such a long time and has achieved much more than any other Indian actor…she gave you a face globally and represented Indian pride.

    How can you berate her when you have ageing actors like Sanjay Dutt or Salman (who look very very old) opposite girls in their twenties being applauded!?

    ash is looking beautiful in her cannes outfit.she has carried off d weight and post pregnancy look well. I do appreciate her for finding time for her family instead of rushing in to become slim and release DVDS of d same…not that i hav anythin against them either,their choice.but,its time the world also saw that ash is not the end of Indian beauty!she was beautiful and confidant enough no doubt to win the Miss World title but time does change things. She’s a reasonable actress and her acting has improved over time. She was very beautiful earlier but beauty has faded over time. I would’nt criticize her for ageing but have 2 admit that she’s not ageing gracefully. I would also disagree that she’s the most beautiful Indian and stuff like that coz there are other beautiful women in India not just her. She had 2 get a few surgeries to look like how she does nw but there are so many who are naturally pretty. But please spare our ears, all we get to hear is “Ash’s post pregnancy weight is due to her being more focussed on being a mother rather then taking care of herself” as if she is the first mother on earth. For god’s sake she has had only one child, i wonder what she will look like if she has another baby.

    I am sorry to say that people who have made some negative comments here are their view points, its nothing to do with being inhuman, illiterate and immature. Its actually a shame to see someone like Ash walking the red carpet in cannes when bollywood has so many beautiful faces. its actually was an embarrassment to see her walk the red carpet with that figure of hers. She should stay at home and take care of her family and come back when she is ready to face the public instead of making a fool of herself.
