Motorola Droid RAZR HD specs leaked: Is Droid Fighter the RAZR HD

A superb HD version of Motorola’s recent Droid RAZR Android phone series seems to be on its way. Tech blogs have leaked some features of a potential HD version of RAZR, simply called the Motorola RAZR HD. Motorola’s recent Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx sports a moderate 4.3-inch display with 540 x 960 pixels 256 ppi. It is a time handsets gets a fancy High Definition of 720 x 1280. Devices like HTC One X will dominate the market if Motorola doesn’t offer a rival with matching specs and features.

As per reports, the Libertyville-based smartphone manufacturer is reportedly launching Droid RAZR HD with 720p resolution and perhaps a large display.

The new Droid RAZR HD model is reportedly under development. The most important feature with the device will be its increased pixel count. However, there will be several other improvements as well. Reports suggest that it will get a quad core CPU for increased performance and it will have an enhanced rear camera possibly with f/2.4 aperture and a focal length of 5 millimeter. Needless to mention, the Droid RAZR HD will hit stores with the latest Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. No other details of the device are available so far.

“According to a leaked document, a new DROID RAZR HD model is in the works, upping the pixel count quite a bit.  Of course, the upgraded screen won’t be the only improvement in the RAZR HD. The leaked EXIF data also suggests a camera with f/2.4 aperture and focal length of 5mm,” says PhoneArena.

The new Droid will certainly outdo its predecessors, which will help the company make a grip in the new smartphone market. So as to take on the challenge from the leading phones of the day like HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Motorola should make its upcoming RAZR HD far more brilliant. It should be a full-fledged phone with enhanced features and capabilities.

Droid Fighter
There are confirmed reports that a new device called the Droid Fighter is under development at Motorola. Some analysts have linked the Fighter with the Droid RAZR HD. Here we can have a look into the rumored specs of the Fighter. In form factor, the device almost resembles the Droid RAZR Maxx. But as far as specs are concerned, it is a different phone with a large HD display of around 4.7-inches, Ice Cream Sandwich and others.

“The Motorola DROID Fighter pops up in a variety of places under the names Motorola Blade and Verizon Motorola DROID Fighter. From Picasa leaks which suggest the name maybe DROID RAZR HD, to pictures which show it shares similar design cues as the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX, it is a powerhouse to say the least,” notes Tom Cutts of MotoringCrunch.

Conclusion
It is high time that Motorola launches a high end version of Android phone. The mobile market is to get into a more intense fight with quad core and high definition devices. Motorola, one of the older phone makers, is still without a top quality product. Indeed, the upcoming Droid RAZR HD may be a reply from the company to the rest of the tech makers.
