UFC 145 results are being dissected. Jon Jones vs Rashad Evans fight has showed that Jon is simply unbeatable in UF right now

Rashad Evans has been one of the best fighters in UFC for years. Today too he gave some flashes of his glorious past. But obviously Jon Jones was too much for him tonight and proved beyond doubt that there was absolutely no answer to his power, athleticism and planning.

People are so much impressed with him that they are saying that he is simply unbeatable in UFC in the current circumstances and if he remains in the same weight group he may remain champion for a very long time to come. People say he is just 24 year old and he is still evolving. Given the way MMA fighters tend to mature in late twenties and early thirties, his reign is going to continue for at least a decade if he avoids injuries in the octagon.

Another important thing that goes in Jon Jones’ favor is the fact that he can take a beating, withstand the blows and go and win the fight. A Jon Jones fan after seeing today’s fight says, “Jon Jones showed he could take a big shot, get wobbled, and not only survive but come back, adjust and regain mastery of the fight, his composure and Octagon intelligence are far beyond his years. Evans proved he is still one of the most dangerous guys at 205 and at 32 has plenty of time left to get another shot at Jones unless Jones moves up to HW first, and if that happens Evans looks to be a very real contender for HW champ then”.

After the fight a very elated Jon Jones said, “It felt completely different…You saw tonight I threw a lot of elbows. I would never do that to a sparring partner … and I think my wrestling has definitely improved a lot. I had a goal to finish this fight and I didn’t. Hats off to Rashad. That’s the first time I’ve gone five rounds so I learned some things there, too.”

Rashad who didn’t shake hands with his foe who outsmarted him throughout the fight was all praise for his foe in post fight press conference. “I give him props; he was creative and kept me on my toes, so I got to give it to him…He had those sneaky elbows that kept getting in on me”, said the former champion.
