High stakes: iPhone 5 in 2012 expected with great features

Stakes are certainly very high before iPhone release date in 2012. Though date is not clear, but new iPhone is sure to come with great features

Apple’s next generation smartphone being labeled as iPhone 5 is going to hit the shelves in the next few months. Due to expected improvements in the next gen iPhone 5 there is an increased level of enthusiasm among iPhone fans many of whom would like to possess it on the very first day of its launch in the market.

When iPhone 4S came out in the market, people were a disappointed lot due to the fact it came with identical body like iPhone 4, its previous avatar. Though the overall performance was a lot improved in it than its previous versions, nonetheless people were not very happy with it.

Now the good news is that Apple is finally launching the new smartphone with a lot design changes in it including a bigger size and consequently a bigger screen than the existing one. Since its launch six years ago, Apple hasn’t changed the screen size of the highest selling smartphone in the world. But now the 3.5 inch screen size is going to be a history.

A PCmag report suggests that the Cupertino based tech giant is in the process of coming out with a larger screen, possibly 4 inch. The PCMag.Com report says, “…iPhone will boast a larger, 4-inch screen (current models have a 3.5-inch screen) and high-speed 4G LTE connectivity”.

Another report in 9to5Mac the forthcoming Apple baby will come with even a bigger than 4 inch screen. A report in this leading tech blog suggests that the various prototypes circulating around that production facility share some common features, including a 4-plus-inch display and a casing that no longer follows the design aesthetics of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

So if the reports in PCMag, 9to5Mac and other leading tech sources are put together we can be reasonably sure that Apple is going to give its fans another reason to rejoice. 9to5Mac report quoting an Apple supplier in China says, “No teardrop-shaped devices, as rumored in the lead up to the iPhone 4S…Samples so far have been symmetrical in thickness (also longer/wider).”

But there are things that are not going to change even with the launch of the next generation iPhone 5. If you thought that Apple would launch multiple versions of iPhone 5 you are simply mistaken. Critics have condemned Apple for refusing to introduce multiple versions of its mobile devices. But despite stinging criticisms the biggest technology company in the world has refused to bite the bait and go for multiple versions of its smartphone. I am sure the same policy will continue even in the case of iPhone 5

Meanwhile the new iPhone will come with several advanced features. A Morgan Stanley report a few weeks ago suggested that not just the new iPhone 5 will be bigger, it will also be slimmer than the existing iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. Besides the same report indicates that iPhone 5 will certainly come out with a much improved quad-mode chip from Qualcomm. So this means that the next iPhone will also be a 4G LTE device.
