First Intel smartphone release date has finally arrived. Much awaited Lava Xolo X900 arrives on 24 April
Intel’s first smartphone release is fixed for April 24, just five days from now. People across the world want to see and experience the gadget as everything coming with Intel’s name gets people’s confidence instantly. With Intel’s processor inside people can be sure of at least one thing- its super fast performance. And I am sure the new smartphone being launched by Lava is not going to disappoint people.
The newest edition in the smartphone market Lava’s Xolo X900 comes with a rather powerful 1.6 GHz Atom Z2460 processor. Though this can be the first smartphone with Intel processor inside, but it is certainly not the last one. I am sure this is just the beginning and we are going to see a number of launches with intel’s 1.6 GHz Atom Z2460 processor in the days to come.
Besides Lava, there are several other smartphone manufacturers who are in the process of launching new smartphones with Intel processor s inside their smartphones. The single-core, 32nm processor named as Atom Z2460 has clocked at 1.6GHz and supports hyper-threading. That processor is then bundled with the Imagination Technologies PowerVR SGX540 graphics, and Intel’s 6540 HSPA+ modem inside the reference design.
XOLO X900 comes with a reasonably large 4.03-inch high-resolution LCD screen. But the perspective buyers may be disappointed with the fact that the smartphone is not coming preloaded with Android 4 or Ice Cream Sandwich. Android Gingerbread will come preloaded on the latest smartphone.
But there is a good news for tech lovers. The new smartphone will have substantially better battery life than other smartphone of the same specs. If you are using 3G, the smartphone can still give you around 5 hours of constant internet browsing.
