It is biggest smart phone at 5.3. Samsung Galaxy Note is set to come on AT&T. It will also get Ice Cream Sandwich in March that will make the smart phone among the best in the market
Reports from CES 2012 suggest that Samsung is going to introduce, the largest smart phone in its inventory Galaxy Note in the US pretty soon. Reports suggest that the Note will be introduced on AT&T LTE network within weeks. The smart phone from the Korean tech giant comes with an impressive WXGA HD Super AMOLED screen.
The big size and great specs have made many people go for the phone that comes with almost similar specifications as in Samsung Galaxy S2 and other best Android phones available in the market right now.
The smart phone seems very big at 5.3. Though it can be held in a single hand, but using it requires both hands, and if you feel like, you can even use the stylus that comes with it. The stylus bay at the bottom is a firm fit though working on it using the fingernail can be tough. But the stylus can be fun to write, doodle or draw on the already mentioned awesome screen.
The smart phone comes with excellent features that is helping the Korean tech giant win more admirers for it. There are some stand-out features in it including the screen and display. The display rules with a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED display and is bigger than that of any other phone and the resolution is awesome with 800 x 1280 pixels. The per-inch pixel count is not the best at 285, but the lack is barely noticeable to naked eye – and that is what counts.
People are excited about the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note in the US market. A reader says, “I am really digging the Galaxy Note, but I’m wondering what AT&T is going to charge for it. As far as I can tell it’s the highest resolution phone on the market, so that alone make me want it, but I’ve heard that to make it work with AT&T’s LTE they had to downgrade the processor from what is available in Europe. I’m also not wild about it being designed around Adroid 2 instead of ICS. Hopefully a follow up device comes out within the next year with a faster processor and graphics chip that’s also designed around ICS from the beginning. Assuming such a device hits the market, I’ll be all in, as long as the with contract price from AT&T isn’t too much more than $300 or so”.
The smart phone comes with all the goodies that are on offer in other smart phones including Appl’s iPhone 5. It also boasts an 8Mp camera on the back and a forward-facing webcam of 2Mp that supports Skype video calling. Video is recorded at 1080p and 30f/s with the backside camera but not at all through the front one.
Samsung Galaxy Note comes with an internal storage of 16GB. 2GB out of it is available for app storage. More can be added using a Micro SD card to add up to 32GB more. It can also be connected up as a mass-storage device.
Ice Cream Sandwich will be available on the Galaxy Note as early as March and so the phone will become a super phone. But right now it comes loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 SoC processor with Exynos 4210 (GT-N7000) and ARM Mali-400 MP (GT-N7000)/Adreno 205(GT-N7003) graphics card. The tablet slots in a 1GB of RAM for accurate performance.
