US election 2012: Ron Paul campaign becoming serious threat to others

Filed under: world |

For Republicans US election 2012 campaign seems to have gained momentum. Meanwhile Ron Paul campaign is becoming serious threat to other Republican frontrunners

Ron Paul is emerging as an important contestant vying for Republican nomination for US Presidential election next year. He is also playing his cards well and doing things more sensibly than he did in the past. His campaign too is being run on more professional lines than the last two occasions when he sought the GOP nomination.

Among the Republican leaders seeking presidential nomination he comes across as a sane voice who doesn’t believes in rhetoric and sloganeering. Many people who stand behind him solidly and even donate their hard earned money for his campaign say that they see him as the last hope to save the US.

A reader aptly expresses his thoughts in the following words, “Ron Paul is the only candidate on any part of the political spectrum who has the ability for deep, original thought and if Americans want a life different from that given by the corporate oligarchy that now rules their daily life, deep original thought is the first prerequisite. Add to that the courage to be totally honest and Ron Paul stands alone and stands tall”.

Earlier this month while talking about his Presidential bid, Ron Paul said, “The momentum is building up and a lot of the candidates so far would come and go…Ours has been very steady growth, then in this last week or two there has been a sudden extra growth…In political terms, it probably means we’re peaking at the right time”.

People are very impressed with the man who is now being taken seriously as he is set to win Iowa primary. Even if he emerges second best in Iowa, he will still be able to take his campaign to the next level.

Meanwhile people are speaking out in favor of Paul. A reader says, “We’ve been duped for so long to believe that voting for one party over another is going to make the difference. I hear republicans say: Well, I’m going to vote for Gingrich because he is the only one who has a chance of winning, and the media tells me he is the most electable, and I don’t want another term of Obama”. Meanwhile, I hear democrats say: “Well, I’m going to vote for Obama (even though he extended the Patriot Act, took forever to pull our troops out of Iraq, and has given every concession to the Republican party) because I’m a democrat. It’s idiocy on both sides. Vote on the candidates, not on the political parties”.

Another reader has this to say, “Ron Paul is the only hope the country and the Republican Party has for meaningful change to the current business as usual politics. His views may be contrary to some of the splinter groups in the Republican party but his views are in tune with the American people. The people are done with fighting other peoples wars and paying for it with the destruction of our own economy. Our military’s job is to defend the USA not every other country in the world. His stance on victim-less crimes (drugs and prostitution) are the stance the Republican party of old would have taken before being married to the fanatic Christian right. The government doesn’t not have the right to tell anyone what they can or cannot put into their body. The government also does not have the right to make it a crime to charge for something that is legal to give away free (someone can have sex with as many people as they want in a given day and as long as they don’t charge for it there is no legal issue). I think Ron Paul is the Republican Party’s only hope at dethroning Obama, Gingrich or Romney will lose in the general election”.

  1. The following video was recently produced by Veterans for Ron Paul. If you wonder about Paul’s foreign policy, please watch.

    While you’re on the Ron Paul campaign website, if you don’t want for America to be mired in yet another war, please donate to his campaign. He doesn’t have Wall Street backing, unlike Obama and Romney. His support is from ordinary Americans with an average donation of about $50. (See http://www.opensecrets.org to learn the truth behind the candidates’ campaign financing.)

  2. Based on what I’ve seen around facebook, and other social mediums..

    It seems like this article is actually LEGIT.

    I see a lot of craziness. For example, polls where Ron Paul garners less than a tenth of the support, then there being someone saying the poll is a fraud and Paul is really winning, and that person gets nearly 400 Thumbs-Up.

    It’s crazy. I really don’t understand it. Keep up what looks to be fair journalism. God-speed.

    Oh, and remember to pay attention to what the troops say.

  3. RON PAUL AND LIBERTY!

    When our Constitution’s a “Guideline”
    And no longer keeps us Free;
    When Politicians indulge themselves
    In an endless Spending Spree;
    Give them just what the Doctor ordered;
    RON PAUL AND LIBERTY!

    When our Money’s no longer tied to Gold,
    When the Printing Press runs free;
    When The Fed and the Wall Street Bankers
    Confiscate our Treasury;
    Give them just what the Doctor ordered;
    RON PAUL AND LIBERTY!

    When our Government’s growth Infringes
    On Personal Sovereignty
    And Citizens find themselves Ensnared
    In Webs of Bureaucracy;
    Give them just what the Doctor ordered;
    RON PAUL AND LIBERTY!

    When the Wars we fight are Undeclared
    By the President’s Decree;
    Yet our Troops still Fight and they still Die
    For an “Empire” Policy;
    Give them just what the Doctor ordered;
    RON PAUL AND LIBERTY!

  5. Dear American’s…if you are undecided on who to vote for and you happen to feel like voting for smaller gov. and keeping our money at home…and LIVING under our United States Constitution (that happened to work just fine until greed went unnoticed for decades in D.C.) Vote Ron Paul! Once he is our president he will be alone in D.C. with all of the wolves! and greedy liars.
    It is up to US to Stand with him as a larger pack when he is there, to change Washington D.C.
    many of the changes that will take place will be enforced by the U.S. Constitution. Our new president will be up against the strongest of evil and he will need The Rest of America! Ron Paul……….2012.
