Apple iPad 3 rumors: next gen iPad to come earlier than expected

Rumor mills have waken up with rumors and gossips about the the next generation iPad 3. As per some recent updates, the new iPad version will land in stores one month earlier in February, 2012. As per Apple’s yearly product release pattern, iPad 3 would have surfaced either in March or April next year. But Citi analyst Richard Gardner in a research note says Apple is ready to unveil iPad 3 and it will come up in February itself.

Gardner adds that there doesn’t seem to be any significant hurdles remaining in the official launch of iPad 3. Apple unveiled iPad 2 in Mach this year. The device has been a world leader in tablet market with clear domination over its Android competitors. The new version of iPad, thanks to its more advanced features, will be able to easily keep up the supremacy of iPad in global markets.

Why iPad 3 may come early?
As mentioned above, Apple could have just rolled out iPad 3 in March next year. But some developments in the tech world would force Apple to bring out the next iPad a bit earlier. Tough competition in tablet market and many other factors would lead Apple for an early release of iPad 3. Here we elaborate some key reasons that might bring iPad 3 in February to our hands.

Amazon Kindle Fire impact
Amazon launched its 7-inch Kindle Fire tablet for a price below $200 with a proclaimed aim to beat Apple iPad. The world’s top online vendor of textual and digital contents planned a complete tablet PC as a perfect platform for consuming text and digital contents. In fact, people, who just want a tablet for eReading, video watching and music listening, went on to prefer Kindle Fire to other tablets, which come with hefty price tags. Small size, great design, lightweight body, Android OS, breadth of content and many other factors are enough to make Kindle Fire a star on market.

Windows 8 coming up
Microsoft Windows 8, the latest Windows OS version for both tablets and computers is just coming up. In tie-up with Nokia and many other third party product makers, the Redmond software giant has plans to take control of the tablet market. Indeed, Windows 8, thanks to a complete Windows Store with open source apps, is a direct threat to Apple iPad rather than Android tablets.

Android gains ground
Global market share domination of iPad has recently diminished due to the explosive growth of Android platform. With the latest Ice Cream Sandwich version for both tablets and smartphones, Google Android becomes a far intensified rival to iPad. Threats from Android and Windows 8 really disturb Apple. Some surveys recently revealed that Apple iOS would plunge to the third spot after Android and Windows in a couple of years. Android OS is to get many more incredible products with high speed Tegra 3 processors early next year.

Tegra 3 processor mania
The most recent obsession of the tablet market is towards tablets with NVIDIA Tegra 3 CPUs. Asus has just started to roll out the world’s first quad core powered tablet, called Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime. Many more tablets from HTC, Lenovo, Toshiba and Samsung are to come up with Tegra 3 processors, which ensure five times better performance from dual core CPUs. It is high time Apple should bring out a quad core processor-powered iPad to defend challenges from others.

4G LTE
Most of recent Android tablets are up with 4G LTE connectivity. Starting from Motorola Xoom, lots of Android tablets landed in stores with 4G LTE compatibility. There is no iPad with the high speed network connectivity yet. Many reviewers largely blamed Apple’s failure to launch an iPad with 4G LTE on time. It is high time the company should bring out an iPad version with the feature.

Wrap-up
Anyway, Apple has not yet divulged anything about the release date of its upcoming iPad 3. It is actually the routine of Apple that it conceals everything about a new product. And so, it is not yet clear when we can really expect iPad 3 from Apple.

    I think it would be in Apples interest to release it before Christmas. Beat the market share and have an excellent product for the holiday. I think it would be great. Not sure anyone else would. I am ready to by an iPad but if the next one is coming in Feb why bother to get one now. That means one less sale now. If I feel that way I am sure many more are feeling that way too.

    I will wait. Unless they release iPad 3 this month.

    Same here, I am ready to buy an iPad 2. But then, I just learned now that an iPad 3 is coming up…. so I might as well delay my purchase till the new model is available.

    I was also going to get the Ipad 2 for Xmas, but will now wait until the Ipad 3 comes out

    I too am ready to buy an iPad 2 but I won’t be waiting for the possibility of an iPad 3.

    The last time I decided against buying a current product and waited for the next impending release, was the iPhone 5. I’m still waiting.

    Anyhow, Apple products keep their value well, so even if the iPad 3 comes out and I feel I want it, I’ll sell the iPad 2 and upgrade, at a small cost.
