Nokia is thinking in super-futuristic terms, so much so that its latest Humanform phone and GEM concept have had many oldschool gadget lovers throw up their hands and back off.
This does not mean that the technology being offered by NOKIA is any bad, no, it is awesome and mind-blowing.
Here is a rundown of the fabulous Humanform phone. The Humanform phone does not look like us, it is just called so, thankfully.
This teardrop-shaped handset boasts a full-body touchscreen. Yes, all of it is sensiticve ans supersensitive and looks transparent. Seeing is believing, for the phone can be bent, twisted and shaken to make a call,, zoomin a picture or press buttons.
Though the features are fabulous, but the moment they said that you shake it to make a call, users conjured up harrowing images of their super-sensitive phone going crazy on a rough bus-ride!
The in-house labs of Nokia have used some as-yet unexplained nanotechnology that has resulted in this bendable transparent display and a fully touch sensitive casing. This also includes some Wiimote features features and twist controls on the Kinetic Device.
Another way NOKIA is boggling the minds of customers is the GEM concept. This one has the standard flat rectangular phone-shape.
The GEM is completely transparent, customized handset. The name is due to the highly polished appearance of the phone in which, again there is a full-body touchscreen and the customizable appearance that doubles as the interface. So we are amused by the phone filling up itself with blue water, which changes colour as it reaches the ‘full’ mark, the time when the alarm is to go off! Very amusing and entertaining indeed.
