Honda recall 2011 includes Honda City, Jazz, CR-Z and CR-V. Third largest car manufacturer Honda that produces and exports car in almost all parts of the world in recalling close to a million units of best selling cars to rectify faulty switch in the cars. This is not the first time that Honda is recalling cars in such large numbers. Just about a year ago, the Japanese car manufacturer was involved in voluntary recall of two and half million units of its best selling cars.
Several top selling cars of the Japanese car manufacturers including Honda Jazz, Honda City, Honda CRV, Honda CRZ and Honda Civic manufactured during 2005 and 2007 are being recalled.
Though it is not clear as to how many people actually take their cars to the manufacturer for rectifying the problems, but given the media coverage, people actually taking their car for free repair is going to be considerably high.
Just a couple of years ago the company had recalled as many as close to 90000 Honda’s hot selling CR-V SUVs. At that time too, the recall was for some faulty power window switch.
But the largest recall is not affiliated with Honda. Another Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has the distinction of recalling largest number of cars for malfunctioning gas pedals.

Hi arlyn,
I read in another news that the recall is for a faulty power window switch which cathes fire. In your case the power swith may be damaged. Its better to check at the service station. Mine is a 2009 model and did not face any problem yet.
Regards,
Anand.
