Salman Khan aka bhai’s Bodyguard box office collection has shattered 3 Idiot and Dabangg box office records

Has Salman ever proclaimed to be the biggest actor of the Indian cinema? If my memory doesn’t fail, then he has never ever made such an absurd claim. Where there are actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan who have been called either by themselves or by their fans as badshah and king or the Bollywood, our very affable Salman Khan has never claimed to be either badshah or the king.

But even if he doesn’t utter a single word of this sort, his films do the talking on his behalf. Having blockbuster in a year is enough to keep you on top. But here is a guy who has given three huge- really huge- hits at the box office in a row, with one film doing better than earlier.

Dabangg was a great movie, then came Ready, an equally great film followed by Bodyguard, the latest release that has already created many a records at the box office. Salman and Kareena Kapoor starrer Bodyguard is not only breaking all the charts of popularity in India, it is doing extremely well in overseas markets.

Bodyguard’s opening day collections were close to Rs 18 crore much higher than Dabangg and 3 Idiots. A report suggest that the weekend collection of the film may zoom to more than 85 crore rupees, a first for India.

Dabangg had notched a collection of Rs 14.5 crore while Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots had netted close to 13 crore rupees.

A market observer says, “We are seeing overseas markets like West Asia recording collections of over $400,000 on day one, which is huge for a Bollywood film”.

    I seriously dont understand this fan following and craze.. well i’m a fan of the movies n nt d stars… dabbang was entertaining but ready n bodyguard were really bad movies. its just the fans that make d movies hit.. All film-makers need these days is a star in d movie, some item number and few intresting promos n d movie is a hit.. there was a period for akshay kumar wen even his senseless movies were huge blockbusters but slowly tht passed n now its over n now he has to read the script n think before signing a film.. i hope the same happens to everyone else or else moviegoers will have to bear the poor quality of cinema… Senseless scripts, no story, actors sleepwalking thru thier roles n just item numbers… i would love to watch more movies made by d likes of anurag kashyap, amol gupte, ashutosh govarikar (barring whats ur rashee), dibakar banerjee, imtiaz ali, farhan akhtar n rajkumar hirani.. n records are for d sake of it with every passing release these opening collections woulld go up a little further.. the author seems to be a salman fan for calling his movies great.. plz lets nt argue salman vs srk or srk vs aamir.. lets just argue about the quality..

    i hav seen dabang,bodyguard,wanted of sallu…..unfortunately i hav to say that he is such a bullshit actor & he dont know how to act????….last good movie he did “tere naam”…..otherwise all these movies are 3 rd class…….they are like the “bihari movies”….no story.no good locations….now i must say that choice of indians are going down day by day……we have not seen a good collection of any holiwood movies in india & this is damn truth that they are better than us so this is the example of our choice…..i think if u really want to see the good acting so go to SRK MOVIES & if u want to see “BIHARIPANA” then go to salman movies
