Nahan: The international wrestler “The Great Khali” has come forward in supporting the movement of social activist “Anna Hazare”. Interacting with NVO News over the phone fromUSA he said that he supports the movement against the corruption and also appealed his admirers for extending full hearted support to “Anna” on the issue. Khali said that he was not against any political party but he feels that the movement of “Anna Hazare” was in the interest of the country. He also informed that in spite of his busy schedule he was closely watching every development of this agitation. He added that the issues of Baba Ramdev were all right but his method of protest was not right.
The Great Khali who hails from the Sirmuar district also said that he would like to meet “Anna Hazare” when he would come back toIndia. He also informed that he was planning to come back toIndia in the last week of the next month. The International wrestler also feels that the corruption in the country was sharply increasing so that it should be strictly stopped. Condemning the arrest of Social crusader Anna Hazare he also added that it was the democratic right of the people to protest and further said that the arresting of Anna Hazare, Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal before their arrival to JP Park would be treated as the black chapter in Indian democracy. Khali also said that The Gandhian “Anna Hazare” was
fighting for the noble cause so every citizen of the country should come forward to support of his movement. He also expressed condolence over the death of four children who were buried alive under the collapsed building of their house in the native Panchyat Nanidhar recently. About his wrestling career The Great Khali said that he was to renew the contract with World Wrestling entrainment (WWE), replying to a query he said that so far he had not finally decided about the renewal. The Great Khali was in the WWE ring since more than six years. Khali was also constructing an academy in Jalandhar; he was also keen in setting up a wrestling academy in Himachal Pradesh. On other hand the local unit of BJP burnt the effigy of Prime minister in support of Anna Hazare.
