All India North Zone Audit & Accounts Badminton Tournament begins in Chandigarh

Chandigarh:  The Finance and Education Secretary, U.T Administration, V.K.Singh, IAS inaugurated All India North Zone Audit and Accounts Badminton Tournament 2011-12 today, in the sports stadium, sector 42, Chandigarh. In this  tournament seven departmental teams from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi Audit are taking part to win the title.

Speaking on this occasion, Chief Guest  V.K.Singh highlighted the role of sports and games in our life and assured full cooperation of Chandigarh administration in organizing such tournaments.

Welcoming the Chief Guest, .Ajaib Singh Accountant General (A&E) Punjab, gave a detailed account of achievements of  his office in the field of sports and games. He also briefed the departmental policies to encourage sports and games in the department.

The inaugural match was played between AG Punjab and AG Haryana.
