Aligarh: Four new courses – Interdisciplinary Subject Refresher Course in Research Methodology in Business Studies, Research Methodology in Social Science, Refresher Course in History and Orientation Programme commenced today as part of the UGC Academic Staff College, Aligarh Muslim University.
More than hundred (100) Course participants are enrolled in these courses. These course participants are from Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chandigarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, UP and Uttarakhand. Professor Badar Alam Iqbal, Department of Commerce, AMU; Professor Mirza Asmer Beg, Department of Political Science; Dr. Ali Athar, Department of History and Professor A.R. Kidwai, Director, UGC Academic Staff College are the Course Coordinators of these Courses respectively.
While welcoming the Course Participants Professor A.R. Kidwai, Director, UGC Academic Staff College brought out the role of the UGC Academic Staff College courses in academic excellence, social cohesion and personality development. He also familiarized them with Sir Syed’s mission of social engineering. Eminent resource persons, including technocrats, public figures and academicians will deliver lectures and interact with the course participants. Visits to the University campus, MA Library and science lab have also been organized. These courses will conclude in early and mid-August respectively.
