GOI invites applications for National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement

Chandigarh:  The Govt. of India, Ministry of Women &  Child Development, New Delhi have instituted an award called “National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement”  for Children between the age of 4 to 15 years who have shown exceptional abilities and outstanding calibre in different fields such as academics, arts, culture, sports etc.

The National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement will be given to one child from each State/UT-one Gold Medal for one child at National level and Silver Medals for one child from each State/UT. For Gold Medalist, a cash prize of Rs 20, 000/-, a Citation and a Gold Medal will be given. The other  children will be presented with a cash prize of Rs 10,000/- each, a  Citation and a Silver Medal. The deserving children who are desirous to be nominated for the above award may submit their application by July 20, 2011 in the prescribed format available in the office of the Director Social Welfare, Additional Town Hall Extension Building, Sector 17-C, Chandigarh.
