GVK Emergency boat service to be launched in Uttarakhand

Dehradun: The GVK Emergency Management Research Institute (EMRI) 108 ambulance service is working on launching an emergency boat service in Tehri district.

As per the information boat would be located at the Tehri Dam reservoir to handle ambulance emergencies of over a dozen villages in Tehri.

The operation of this boat from the Tehri dam reservoir will reduce the travel time. The GVK EMRI is operating a boat on the Brahmaputra in Assam. In normal circumstances, the boat provides training to people on health, sanitation, livestock care and education.

This boat ambulance is equipped with life-saving equipment. Uttarakhand government is hoping that with the launch of the boat ambulance, the healthcare scenario will improve considerably & speedy and efficient healthcare will be provided to people.

The GVK EMRI and the Uttarakhand Government have been operating 114 ambulances in the state.
