Three officers suspended in Haryana

Chandigarh:  Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda has ordered suspension of three officers of Irrigation Department and also ordered that another senior officer be charge sheeted under Rule 8 of Punishment and Appeals Rules, 1987 for dereliction of duty leading to structural failure of a bridge at km 0.829 of Shahabad Feeder in Yamuna.

Mr Hooda placed under suspension three officers of Irrigation Department namely S.N. Bhardwaj, Executive Engineer, Water Services Division, Dadupur, Soma Nand, Sub Divisional Officer, Water Services Sub Division, Dadupur and S.K. Gupta, Junior Engineer, Incharge of Dadupur Headworks and ordered that they be charge sheeted under Rule 7 of the Punishment and Appeals Rule, 1987 for dereliction of duty.

The Chief Minister also ordered that B.S. Saini, Superintending Engineer, H.K.B. Circle, Jagadhari be also charge sheeted under Rule 8 of the Punishment and Appeal Rules as he had committed supervisory lapse.
