Aligarh: The Non-Resident Students’ Center (NRSC), Aligarh Muslim University organized a highly successful English Proficiency Skill Workshop. More than 180 students participated in the events such as Group Disc ussion, Personal Interview, Writing Skills and other soft skills.
Prof. A.R. Kidwai, Director, Academic Staff College was the Chief Guest at the prize distribution function while Prof. Pervez Mustajab, Controller of Exams, AMU graced the programme as the Guest of Honour.
An exhaustive report on the main features of Workshop was presented through PowerPoint highlighting the innovative approachs and dynamism of NRSC students.
Earlier, Prof. Ashok Mittal, Provost of the Hall and Chairman, Department of Economics welcomed the guests and felicitated them on gracing the programme. Addressing the programmme Prof. Mustajab appreciated the initiative and gave away certificates to the prizewinners of debate, essay writing and vocabulary competitions. Prof. Kidwai urged the students to excel in written and communication skills that are the key to success in today’s globalised world. He exhorted students to read as much as possible as reading makes man mature and discerning. He congratulated the guests and organizing team for carrying out laudable extension activity.
Mr. Naiyyer Rahman, Senior Hall of NRSC proposed a vote of thanks and Mr. Faisal Abbasi conducted the programme. A large number of students and wardens of the Hall were present in the programme.
