Himachal to honor Kashmiri braveheart Rukhsana

rukhsana-kausarNahan: Rukhsana Kausar, who shot into limelight by killing a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, would be honored in the town on 28th December. As per as the information the parents of Rukhsana would also accompany her in the function being held by certain organizations of the Nahan town in Himachal. Rukhsana, 21, had become a youth icon when she killed Lashkar-e-Toiba militant Abu Osama in a daredevil act on September 27. Rukhsana had also faced terrorist attack on his native house after killing the millitants. Later, she and her family were shifted from her village and settled in a safe house in Rajouri, in a bid to keep the ultras at bay. This is the first tour of the Rukhsana in this hilly state. She had stated that youths should be imparted training in fighting terror. Along with this brave girl of the country the family of Late Sargent Dev Raj Thakur of Nahan would also be honored who had caught Nathu Ram Goddasde soon after the father of the nation Mahatama Gandhi was assassinated. After the Nahan, Rukhsana would also be honored in the state capital on 29th December. It is worthwhile to mention here that the bravery of this man was never recognized by the state. First time the family of the Sargent Dev Raj Thakur would come in the public function with the Ashok Chakra class II which was given to Late Thakur on his act of bravery by the first president of the country. Chairman of the Aastha welfare Society Ashutosh Gupta said that the family of the Kargil martyrs would also be invited. He said that Rukhsana would be given a cash award of rupees one lakhs. Gupta added that about six activity social organizations were invited to participate in the function. In view of the tour of the Rukhsana Kausar in this hilly state police would have to be review the security. On the other hand National chief of the anti terrorist front Manjinder Singh Bitta said that he would also accompany Rukhsana Kausar in Himachal, when contacted. He said that this type of the function would also help in increasing the patriotism among the youths.
