Nahan: Finally the Himachal tourism development corporation has decided to construct a small café with information centre at fossil park Sukeati with an estimated cost of 15 lakh. On the other hand geological survey of India has also started the construction of Museum here, for the purpose Tourism Corporation had provided two bigha land to geological survey of India. However the tourism development corporation has also trying to develop a paragliding site in Rajgarh sub division of the district. A technical committee constituted for the purpose had sent the report of test flights conducted on 15th September.
Once noted best Fossil Park in the Asia was in the deprived condition. As per as the information the connectivity of the road from industrial area Kala amb was still in awful condition. Sources said that geological survey of India and tourism Development Corporation has already completed the formalities for the construction. District tourism development officer Kamal Chand told the building of tourism information centre was likely to be completed soon. He also informed that tourism development corporation was also going to construct a JAN SUVIDHA centre at dosarka on Nahan-Shimla highway. Describing the activities of the corporation he said that four information gantries would also be installed at Markanda Bridge, Kala amb, Dosarka and Dosarka (Renuka road) with the estimated budget of 2 lakhs.He said that the corporation has also started the activities at fossil park Sukeati. He added that the approval of the paragliding site was awaited and expressed hope that it was be received very soon.
