Suspected swine flu death reported in Himachal

swine-fluNahan: The department of health has started the investigation over the suspected death of swine flu. Though 22 years Yusuf of Amarkoat village died on Monday in a hospital located in Utterakhand, but the department of health was yet to reach on the final conclusion. It is pertinent to mention here that so far no case of swine flu was reported in the district. However the department has taken the adequate steps over the suspected death of swine flu. Sources said that the patient was admitted in the private hospital in Paonta sahib later he was referred to a hospital of Utterakhand.Sources further said that recently several cases of swine flu were reported in Yamuna Nagar of Haryana; however there was a distance of sixty kilometers of Paonta sahib from this town of Haryana. Sources said that due to the border area the department had to be taken some additional steps pertaining to swine flu cases in the neighboring states. As per as the further information secretary health through videoconferencing directed the chief medical officer to do so.As per as the information the department had also distributed the medicines to keens of the deceased. Sources also said that the authorities of the health department were trying to contact the officials of health department till the late evening to find the cause of death of Yusuf of Paonta sahib. Few months back a student of Navodya School was died in Dehradun due to the coxemia. Nevertheless it was not confirmed but as per as the sources the blood samples of the deceased were sent to Delhi to find the cause of death. Chief Medical officer Dr M.k. pathak said that the exact cause of the death was yet to be ascertained, when contacted. He said that despite this the department was taken adequate steps and added that isolated wards were available in Paonta sahib with sufficient stock of medicine. He also advised the people of the area not to get panic.
