Himalaya International registers 8.78 crore profit
New Delhi: Export oriented food processing company Himalaya international on Friday said that its net profit grew by 75% in second quarter of financial year ended September 2009.The company registered net profit of rupees 8.78 crore for the period ended September 2009 as against 6.47 crore registered during the same period in the year 2008.
Company chairman Manmohan Malik told that company total sales grew by 39% to rupees 34.06 crore up to September 2009 as against 26.32 crore sales registered up to September 2008. .The company registered 11.46 crore profit before taxes etc in the period ending September 2009 as against 8.82 crore rupees profit before taxes etc in the same period during September 2008 due to cost control and efficiency measures said Manmohan Malik Chairman. He told that results were achieved with increased production and sales volume, better market mix, higher capacity utilization ,better productivity and lower administrative costs.
Board of the Company held under the chairmanship of Malik Chairman today sealed the technical collaboration with ‘Proffered Vegetarian Inc.’ a New York, USA based Dairy research Company.
The New York based Consultants have assisted Himalaya to develop low fat, vitamin fortified, Real fruit Yogurts with 6 week shelf life.
The higher shelf life will enable Himalaya to distribute this new product in all regions of the country. The product shall be launched in NCR on November 15th. Company is launching four flavors; Strawberry, Strawberry Banana, Pineapple & tropical fruits under its brand ‘Himalaya Fresh’.
These Yogurts shall be low 1.5% fat, higher proteins and are fortified with Vitamins & minerals that boost all day energy.
They are also Calcium rich with Vitamin D for full absorption by Human body.
Besides specialty yogurts, American Company will develop various Dairy & Non dairy dips, long shelf life and still ‘All Natural’ for domestic market.
Company also informed on launch of its 1Daily brand of ‘Total Health’ products from November 3rd starting from NCR Delhi.
The product range includes 1Daily for Men, 1Daily for Women, Calcium-Magnesium ++ and ‘Miracle supplement’ CoQ 10 for all day energy and heart health.
Mr Malik divulged his vision on making Himalaya International as champion of ‘ Health & Nutrition’ products in India.
Mr Malik, Chairman & CEO informed that Company is taking big leaps forward by using its domain knowledge in International trends combined with Research & Development. He also mentioned that all units under expansion in Himachal Pradesh have started production and new, upcoming mega facilities shall further leverage companies fortunes to become one of the most precious Indian Companies in Health & Nutrition.
