Work hard to achieve success: Prof. Ranveer

amuAligarh: Prof. Ranveer Singh, Vice Chancellor, National Law University, Delhi  said that the law students should not adopt any  short cut as a hard work and labour is imperative to achieve greater success and it also requires time. Prof. Ranveer Singh was delivering lecture at the Law Society of Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University.

Prof. Ranveer Singh said that if the students aspire to get success without study then they are bound to fail in their life. He said that a successful lawyer always has to work hard. Expressing concern on the declining standard of legal studies Prof. Singh regretted that in spite of more than seven hundred law colleges and separate law departments in more than 150 universities in the country, no institute could establish its identity on global level.

Prof. Iqbal Ali Khan, Dean, Faculty of Law, AMU said that the students who have interest in legal studies should only take admissions in this stream. He said that the students of AMU are performing exemplary in the country for last several years and it can be hoped that this performance will be better in quantity and quality in future.

The president of Law Society, Dr. Shakeel Samdani said that Aligarh Muslim University’s law department has a history over more than one hundred years and it has established its identity not only on national but international level as well. Dr. Samdani said that the pass outs of this University have got the honour of being Judges of High Courts and Supreme Court.

The students asked several questions to the guest speaker during the following interactive session.
