Himachal Government to popularise Yoga and Naturopathy
Shimla: An official spokesman said here today that the Department of Ayurved had decided to popularise Yog and Naturopathy in the State. He said that for this purpose candidates from State will be encouraged for various trainings, Diploma and Degree in Yog and Naturopath. He said that Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (An autonomous organization under Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and F.W. Govt. of India) has invited application from Graduate in any faculty from recognized university in India or abroad with minimum 40% marks in aggregate.
He said that candidates with P.G. degree in any faculty will be given 5% additional marks to the qualifying examination. Age should be below 30 years as on 1.8.09 and 10 yeas age relaxation for in-service personnel on deputation through proper channel.
He said that last date for duly filled in applications is 31.07.09. The prospectus and the application form can also be downloaded from MDNIY website: www.yogamdniy.com and www.yogamdniy.nic.in. For any information candidates are free to contact Directorate of Ayurved, H.P., Shimla, he said.
