Himachal Pardesh Electricity Board engineers association demands transfer into the Power Corporation
Nahan: Himachal Pardesh electricity Board (HPSEB) project engineer association has demanded the transfer of engineers into the HP power corporation at one time instead of resorting inviting offers. Association also demanded that no fresh requirements should be given till the entire issue of cadre transfer from HPSEB as a whole was implemented. Association state president Engineer Rajinder Kahol in a statement said that ongoing hydel projects under execution should also be transferred to HP Power Corporation limited. He also added that state government and HPSEB would have ensured that HPPCL will safeguard the terminal benefits specifically pension, gratuity and other entitlements. He also said that state government would have to introduce the electricity act 2003 so that transfer of complete cadre control should be done well in time. Er. Kohal said that state government should also form the generation company to avoid the in convinces in the future. He said that the formation of Generation Company would also help the state government for the trifurcation of the electricity board. Association also demanded that all the deputation posts of the project engineers at different levels must be filled earlier. General Secretary of the association Er H.M. Dharula said that if the state considers the suggestions of the association than the stagnated cadre of graduate engineers would also be obliged.
