Dear Railway Minister E. AHMED SAAHIB!
    Congratulations!
I came to know through the newspapers that the reservation for berths are reduced up-to
Shornoor in Malabar trains. Now itself it is very difficulty to get reservation
to PALAKKAD and back from CHENNAI. After your instructions it will be a tragedy
to get reservations in these rains. PALAKKAD also in MALABAR area in KERALA state.
Sri O.Rajagopal introduced a daily train CHENNAI-PALAKKAD-CHENNAI. This train helped
the travelling passengers including those are going to SHORNOOR. This was withdrawn
then by A K Moorthy, and Velu. I request you on behalf of the travelling passengers to
reintroduce this train. This will avoid rush and help the passengers those who are going to
    Palakkad.

Please make arrangements to make subways from station to connect platforms.
This will be very helpful to the aged. Now it is very difficult to climb the
    staircases/Foot over bridge.

Provide safety for the travelling passengers in train.

Kindly take action to provide concession to 50% to all the people who are above 60 years-
    SENIOR CITIZENS.

I hope you look into this and request you to do take necessary action.

    With warm regards.

  • Abdul Hameed Mohamed

    Honourable Minister for Railways,

Please consider the following and complete them in your term of the next five years:
    1. Nilambur-Nanjangud rail line via Wayanad
    2. Talassery – Mysore rail line
    3. Sabari rail line
    4. Tirur / Kuttippuram – Guruvayoor rail line
    5. Trebling of all our railway lines in the state of Kerala
    6. Electrification of lines in Kerala. Compared to other states we do not have much railway lines.
    7. Overbridges / underbridges at level crossings where there is heavy traffic
    8. Construct new or extend the existing platforms which can accommodate trains with 18+ coaches.
    9. More counters for ticket sales
    10. Overbridges and subways between the platforms for the public.
    11. Janshatabdi / intercity expresses between major towns in Kerala.
    12. EMU/MEMU/DEMU between north and south Kerala
    13. New day express between Kasargode and Kanyakumari
    14. Last but not least and most important is to construct a triangular railway station at Shornur Junction. It will be a very great advantage to passengers especially for northern keralites. This is a long standing dream of the people from Malabar area.

Thanking you in advance for your kind consideration and prompt action.

Nilambur-Nanjangud line is proposed and surveyed via Gudalur Road (Devala) and Sulthan Bathery. No change in the route is advisable now.MOSR can’t turn a blind eye to the Railway need of Wayanad dist.

  • G. Sreekumar

    Dear Honourable Minister,

    Congratulations on your new assignment.

A train no. 3351/3352 is running between Dhanbad/Tatanagar to Alleppey daily (via Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Rayagada, Visakhapatanam) covering a distance of 2540 KMs with 90 stoppages and approx. 57-58 hours. Our earnest request to you is kindly do something to reduce the running time of this train and also extend its service upto Trivandrum/ Kollam.

Alternatively, please introduce a new superfast train from Tatanagar to Trivandrum/ Kollam (via Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Rayagada, Visakhapatanam, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Kayankulam). You may be aware that Orissa, Jharkhand & Bihar states are now developing and growing with lot of industrialisation projects. Hence lot of Keralites are travelling regularly to these states on business. Would appreciate if you kindly look into our these problems and consider it favourably.

    DEAR E.AHMED SAHIB!

WE UNDERSTAND THE TAMIL LOBBY IS TRYING TO INTERPRET A HIKE IN THE COST OF LAYING THE NILAMBUR-NANJANGUD RAIL LINK AND THEREBY SUGGEST TO SHELVE IT.

WE ALSO HEAR THAT THEY ARE AGAINST A NEW EVENING TRAIN TO BE INTRODUCED BETWEEN SHORANUR AND NILAMBUR.

TAMIL NADU HAS NO NEED TO INTERRUPT IN THE PROGRESS OF KERALAM. MR. VELU HAS DONE ENOUGH HARM. LET US BE AWARE OF THEIR EVIL INTENTIONS.

    PROF. ABRAHAM JOSEPH PADINJATTIDOM.
