PFUCTO’s meeting held at SD College, Chandigarh

Chandigarh: Punjab Federation of University and College Teachers’ Organisations (PFUCTO), in its meeting held at SD College, Chandigarh, which was attended by leaders of PUTA, GNDUTA, PAUTA, GADVASUTA, GCTA and PCCTU, condemned Election Commission of India for delay in granting permission for revision of pay scales of university and college teachers even after 10 days of reference, having allowed implementation of pay scales for state employees. Dr. S.S. Dhillon and Dr. Jagwant Singh, President and General Secretary respectively of PFUCTO in a statement said such discrimination from a constitutional authority like, Election Commission of India is regrettable. They urged upon  Naveen Chawla to end discrimination by granting permission so as to enable, the Punjab Govt. to implement its decision of Feb 13, 2009.
