17 years Himachal player selected for the Indian camp
Nahan: 17 years budding badminton player Aarjoo thakur has been selected for the Indian camp in sub junior category. Ms Aarjoo haling from the far flung area of the Renuka ji would also participate in three ranking tournaments schedule at Cochin, Bangalore and Chennai after completion of this camp. It is worthwhile to mention here that Aarjoo thakur was came into the light few months back when she become the national champion at Mandi. Interacting with NVO News the father Inder Thakur of the player said that the camp was schedule to start on 25th April which would end on 30th May at Lukhnow. The selection of the Aarjoo thakur among the top best 10 players of the country has also bring hope for the member of Indian squad for proposed 2010 commonwealth games at Delhi. Interacting with NVO News over the phone Aarjoo thakur said that though the selected players for the camp were yet to reach so the schedule of the camp was not known. Although she said that she would have to work hard 4-6 hours every day in the camp. District badminton association secretary Surinder Hindustani said that talented player of the state should be given every kind of support. He said that possibility of the Aarjoo be the part of Indian squad can not be ruled out. On the other hand in the absence of finances the father of the player Inder thakur was not able to give final shape to the Indoor badminton court constructed by him at Renuka ji to train the Aarjoo thakur.
