Shimla: Himachal Pradesh State Level Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority (SLSWC&MA) met here under the Chairmanship of Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister and cleared in principle 10 new proposals for setting up of industrial projects in the State involving an investment of Rs. 306.63 crore and generating employment potential of 1,770 persons.
Addressing the Authority Chief Minister directed the concerned officers to work as facilitators for the prospective entrepreneurs and extend all possible help in completion of their papers and obtaining clearances from different quarters. He said that the designated officers needed to be assigned responsibility to facilitate the entrepreneurs which had been cleared by the Authority so that after completion of codal formalities they could set up their production units. He said that the State Government was pursuing the extension of the Special Industrial Package upto March, 2013, but at the moment it was supposed to be over by 31st March, 2010. He said that efforts needed to be made to attract more investors to invest in Himachal Pradesh where a number of incentives were available to them besides the basic amenities of cheap land and floating power.
Prof. Dhumal directed the authorities to ensure that the provisions of 118 were implemented in the best interest of the land owners and no land owner was rendered landless due to the acquisition process. He said that the industries officers needed to ensure that all such cases of land acquisition or sale were scrutinised intensely and interests of the land owners protected. He emphasised the need for simplification of the procedure in completion of codal formalities and deliver prospective entrepreneurs best of the prompt services. He said that power requirement also needed to be met with on demand promptly.
