MCM organized a free dental check-up camp in Chandigarh

Chandigarh:  MCM DAV College for Women, Sector 36 organized a free dental check-up camp in collaboration with Fortis-Axiss Dental Center, Chandiarh-Mohali. Dr. Deepshikha and Dr. Gurjot Sidhu spread awareness on good dental hygiene practices and provided consultations to students and staff members of the college. DENT-AIDS, New Delhi complemented the event by putting up a stall and displaying oral health care products. Principal of the college appreciated the medical committee of the college for their endeavour for the betterment of health of students and staff of the college.

In an another event an interactive sessiofeb3hn on “Vedic Sanskrit aur Sanskrit bhasha” was organized by the department of Sanskrit. Dr. Vikram kumar, Professor in the Department of Sanskrit and chairman of Dayanand Chair for vedic studies of Panjab University was the speaker for the day. He explained that Sanskrit had a variety of “Dhavanis” and every “Dhvani” had a different “Varna”. The whole of the ancient literature was created in Sanskrit language. He advocated the life style based on the propositions of “Dharma” “Astha” “Karma” and “Moksha”. The session proved to be quite informative for the students.
