New Delhi: Hamirpur Member Parliament Anurag Thakur has suggested the central govt to provide compulsory military training for all the youths aged between 18 years and 25 years in the country who should provide one year volunteer services to the Indian army
While speaking in lok sabha during zero hours yesterday Anurag said that terrorists have attacked the prime locations of the country and the number of the terrorists victims has risen manifold during last ten years. He suggested that besides making tough terror laws, 200 NSG Commando battalions should be set up in each state for prompt and swift action during the national crisis. He said that state police forces should be modernised by providing latest equipments, trainings, facilities and attractive pay and perks and asked the central govt to provide liberal financial assistance to the state govt to strengthen the security infrastructure in the states.
He demanded that local police force personals should also be trained on the NSG pattern and cited the example of Mumbai constable Tuka Ram who captured the sole surviving terrorist Ajmal Kasab without using any weapon. He said that common Indian citizens should also be trained to face the terrorists violence so as they do not fall victims as soft targets of the terrorists but on the other hand could face the terrorists with patience and understandings. He said that citizens should be extensively trained in such a way so as they could immediately engage terrorists before security forces launch the full flegded operations and could also provide logistic support to the security forces during the operations.
