Regional Institute of English Sector 32, organizes its valedictory function

feb29.jpgChandigarh: Regional Institute of English Sector 32, organized its valedictory function today at its premises. Adviser to the UT Administrator, Mr. Pradip Mehra was the chief guest at the function.

On the occasion Mr. Mehra said that education transforms the personality of an individual and metamorphoses him. It opens the windows of mind and support logical thinking, he added. Emphasizing on the importance of English, Mr. Mehra also said that more than half of the people in the world speak English. Learning part could be uninteresting and tedious but when things are well comprehended, it becomes easier and fascinating, he said.

Addressing the trainees, Adviser said English has probably the richest literature full of diamonds and emeralds. He added that they are fortunate to be trained in such a great institute. He further added all kind of opportunities not just in English Language but through English Language. On the occasion Mr. Mehra released a book titled ‘Teaching Young Learners’ and gave prizes to the winners of various competition including paper reading competition, teaching competition, poetry recitation and creative writing. Adviser also gave away the certificates to the successful trainees of PGCTE course.

Director, Regional Institute of English, Ms. Sharda Kaushik, read the annual report at the function. Special Secretary Finance, Mrs. Raji P. Shrivastava was the Guest of Honour at the function.
