5 oxen thrown on Yamuna bank

NAHAN: An unidentified Truck threw five critically injured Oxen on the bank of Yamuna River near Bata Mandi village in Paonta area in the wee hours today.

Villagers noticed this incident at about 8.00 AM and rushed to save the lives of injured oxen. One ox succumbed to the multiple injuries this morning. Four oxen were fighting for life, they were being treated by the veterinarians.

Veterinary Doctor Rohit Sharma, who conducted the postmortem of dead ox, said that ox died due to severe internal and external injuries.

SHO Paonta said that, police has registered a case under cruelty against animals act and started investigation in the case.
