Prof. Dhumal dedicates OPD Block to Nurpur people

Nurpur: Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister today dedicated newly constructed OPD Block of Civil Hospital, Nurpur constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.19 crore to the people of the area. He hoped that with the better health infrastructure created people of the Nurpur town and adjoining areas would be able to avail of better health services under the guidance of specialists deployed in the local hospital.
Chief Minister reiterated the resolve of the State government to strengthen the health infrastructure and make specialized medical services available to the people of the area. He said that best efforts would be made to provide every health institution required medical specialists and para medics. He said that the State Government had already decided to engage the services of private medical specialists on part time basis in the hospitals where no Government specialists were available. He said that it would help in providing rural people specialized medical facilities near to their homes. He said that the State Government aimed at creation of quality health infrastructure which could match the best so that people did not have to go out of the State to avail of such services. He said that IGMC Shimla had already been equipped with all the specialized medical services and Dr. R.P. Govt. Medical College, Tanda was nearing completion which would add to the quality health services in the State. He said that although the State had best health infrastructure compared to many other States.
