Chandigarh Judicial Academy to add another mile stone on December 7, with the successful completion of the first Batch of Judicial Officers from the State of Punjab

Chandigarh 30 : Chandigarh Judicial Academy would add another mile stone on December 7, with the successful completion of the first Batch of Judicial Officers from the State of Punjab. The successful Officers of the one year training programme would be awarded “Course Certificates” by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh and Chairperson of the Chandigarh JudicialAcademy, Mr. Justice Vijender Jain. The function would be held at UT Guest House, Sector 6. 27 Judicial Officers from the state of Haryana had already been awarded “Course Certificates” on October 30. Now the batch of 32 Officers from the State of Punjab, would be joining their places of postings by December 15.The functioning of the Chandigarh Judicial Academy started in Feburary 2007. The objective was to update the professional skills of the Judicial Officers and improving the judicial delivery system. The Judicial Academy is presently functioning from MGS Institute of Public Administration Complex, Sector 26 and its own building is under construction in Sector 43 which is expected to be completed with in a time frame of 18 months. The Complex would have an Auditorium, Library, Conference hall, Lecture Halls besides Administrative Office and Hostel for accommodating 100 Trainee Judicial Officers at a time.
